** SUCCEED FOR YOUR CHILDREN by Graham White

----------------------------------------------------
If you believe that
children are a reflection of their parents, then you must also believe that if
you want your children to be a success, you must model success for them.
WHAT I'M DOING TO CREATE MY SUCCESS:
After reading the book "What a Difference a Daddy Makes" by Dr.
Kevin Lehman, I made a list of what I want to provide for my daughter.
I realized that if
I wanted those things for her, I should want them for myself, not just because
I should model them for her, but because they were the qualities I believed
define a successful person.
CHALLENGE YOURSELF:
Develop a solid foundation of personal spiritual belief.
Develop my mind and body.
Live a healthy lifestyle and have a positive self-image.
Develop my talents and interests.
Explore new ideas and open my mind to all possibilities.
Take risks and experience life to the fullest.
Discover the special gifts I have to offer this world.
Set an example that others are inspired to follow.
Find mentors who teach me how to make wise choices.
Have firm boundaries and find people who will keep me accountable.
Find strong friends who support me when I suffer loss and celebrate my
success.
Tell others the things I appreciate about them and are proud of them for.
Remember that everyone has their own valid perceptions & feelings.
Remember that no one is perfect and apologize quickly when I'm wrong.
Allow others the freedom to fail and forgive their mistakes.
Live a life in balance and do first things first.
Develop social grace & emotional intelligence.
Make money work for me so I'm not working for money.
Exemplify the way a spouse treats their partner.
Find activities and holidays my partner and I enjoy together regularly.
Spend time every day finding out what is important in my children's lives.
